DC high voltage test system:

It is used for DC voltage withstanding test for power cable, DC pollution, thyristor valve set, generator and switch, etc.; also for DC voltage withstanding and polarity changeover test for DC extra-high voltage power equipment; testing the characteristic of all kinds of insulation material under DC high voltage; detecting DC discharge property of air gap; measuring leakage current and discharge test for insulator (string); testing of corona starting voltage of wires, metal and insulator.


DC pollution test system needs special design:

DC power main loop is composed of test transformer, multiplying and rectifying circuit, etc. The power source for primary coil of test transformer is provided by voltage regulator through SCR automatic tracking device, and the control system monitors the voltages at HV terminals and the value of leakage current of test object, tracking the changes of voltage and current. Finally use the fuzzy control algorithm to achieve close-loop double feedback dynamic voltage regulation. The system control algorithm is concise and control is with high accuracy and fast reaction which makes the dynamic over-shoot and voltage drop value for HV output always within the limits.

The main parameters meets the requirement of IEC-61245 DC Artificial Pollution Test, that is, the relative voltage drop is not more than 10% during the test (leakage current can be more than 1A in heavy pollution); the relative voltage overshoot is not more than 10%; the voltage drop of test object is less than 5% and the voltage overshoot is less than 8% under resistive load current lasting for 0.5s and the output current is 500mA.

Equipment is mainly used for DC pollution test and icing test of insulator strings and post insulator used in DC transmission project at various altitudes.
